Bangkok became the capital city of Thailand in April 21, 1782. The city is located in the heart of the very central part of Thailand and is a natural hub between Northern and Southern Thailand.
The number of inhabitants in the capital is a fairly controversial matter and the official number of about 6,5 million inhabitants is probably far too less. Some people even think that the real number is three times as many!

The Bangkok Weather

December to March is considered as the "cool" season in the capital. The thermometer usually shows 25-28 degrees Celsius, during the day.
